Our Monster Journey

Tomorrow is the day we take our little harli Monster for her first evaluation with Cleveland Clinic center for autism.   My biggest fear is finding out I'm just a bad mom.   Since I first suspected she may be a little different than others her age I tried to push it out of my mind.   Then her pediatrician noticed some things and asked if I had ever wondered.

I left that appointment heartbroken and terrified of how my little was going to make it in an already awfully hard world.   My patience with her instantly improved.   I'm ashamed to admit that I was surprised nothing inside of my changed.   I didn't resent her.   I didn't regret my decision to get pregnant even though I knew risks of older pregnancies.   Nothing I felt for her from the second she was conceived had changed. Y love continues to grow stronger for her every day.   She continues to blow my mind.   I'm ready to be the arms that wrap around her to keep her safe when the world seems too large.   I'm not upset or disappointed that she isn't like other kids.  I just simply understand.

Water Storm Brushes

Storms

I started this series to practice creating water brushes in Adobe Photoshop. This image is a series of brushes i created. The clouds, moon, lightening, and water were all done in photoshop. I then used different hue settings to show and highlight portions of the image.  I also wanted to explore what the image would look like with different blending options. These are the top 3 images of about 30 all together. I also included a black and white version.

Abstract Brush Art

Screen Savers

I started creating brushes and layers in Adobe Photoshop one day because I was bored with the current online jigsaw puzzle collection I had been working on.  I thought why aren't there more images of abstract color and nonsense? So like everything else in my life I jumped in and created what I wanted to see.  I though about the time and difficulties I spend when doing the puzzles and created abstract 3D designs.  After uploading and playing them a few times i realized they work fantastic as phone screen savers as well.

I work with technology and usually have a company phone and tablet I'm required to carry.  I was so bored of the normal boring screensavers and sad that I couldn't really express myself while keeping it company friendly.  I tend to save art with a lot of skulls or horror themes. This was a solution that proved useful for many applications.
